Gates Custom Milling Inc, Established in 1978 is the largest producer of Atlantic White Cedar products in the country.  It is also a leading manufacturer of Cypress products and rounds out its production with Poplar.  The company operates it’s sawmill facility, dry kiln facility, moulder and planer facilities all on its site in Gatesville North Carolina.  The bulk of the company’s millwork is produced via a state of the art Weing Moulder.  GCM’s cedar and cypress product lines are made up of a variety of items including decking, exterior siding, interior paneling products, horse shavings and landscaping mulch.  GCM also offers a line of high grade cedar products that are used for framing and planking in the yacht building industry.  Distribution of cedar and cypress products is worldwide with the prominent markets being in the eastern United States.  Gates prides itself on being able to produce quality products in an efficient manner while remaining extremely flexible so as to best serve it’s customers.
